Well, MSK gatherers had another night of incorporating an cross-cultured aspect of mixed cuisines! The internet had me believe that Burma had their own vegetable spaghetti recipe....soo I shopped accordingly, only to find out by MSK Burmese participants, that this concept was faux (never trust the internet). Anyhow, where-ever this vegetable pasta sauce idea originated it did indeed help mix to different cuisine flavors together. Our freshly home-made fettecini pasta was coated consistently with slowly simmered slighltly spicey vegetable sauce.

We quickly peeled, boiled and mashed some potatoes to bind with the right quantity of flour and egg yolks to roll'n'cut our own potato Gnocchi. Which, awaited the simmering sauce of a tomato-based, green chilled, lemon and parsley and beautifully fresh marinara mix.

The kiddie's had a fun filled session too.....Alyson entertained with numerous activities. The baking ovens were turned on, banana's were picked from the garden and, a muffin mix was created by twelve little hands...but, eaten by everybody!

To join our carb-fest, some little pockets of filled pide bead was grilled on our new portable char-grill.

It was really interesting to see everybody enjoying the process of pasta making. Getting as-many hands in the right position around the pasta machine, always makes for a fun experience for-whom has never experienced the pleasure of making their own pasta before. It's a production line that needs concise detail and captive ears, which never fails. Such fresh lightly texted home-made pasta always makes it so much more enjoyable and yummy to eat!

This coming Monday the community dinner will have some beautifully traditional curries. Please come down to enjoy the fun-filled evening!
