12 April, 2010

Today we welcomed Cassie and her two children to My Sisters' Kitchen. This was their first visit but we hope it wont be their last. Daniella, Patsy, Tseh Meh cooked  Curly Fettucine With Garden Vegetables & Fetta a recipe from the Coles Summer magazine.  Very cheap and extremely easy to prepare, it turned out to be delicious.  (See recipes)

Whilst the food was simmering we had a cup of tea and chatted about our grandparents. Patsy's grandfather was a crocodile hunter, Tseh Meh's  a farmer and Arthur's a peanut farmer.  There was great hilarity when Brenda confessed she thought peanuts grew on trees.

We also discussed the possibility of camping out at Peron Island overnight to go crabbing. Lots of empty crab shells are required for a community event happening at Darwin Community Arts in August.
