Crostata Della Nonna (Granma's Cake)- submitted at Darwin Fringe Festival, 2009

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 500g  flour
  • 250g  sugar
  • 300g butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon

Recipe

  1. Mix buter & sugar
  2. Add rest of ingredients
  3. Put into fridge for 10 mins
  4. Make it flat & put on to a tray
  5. Spread it with your choice of jam, chocolate spread or vanilla sauce
  6. You can also save some of pastry to make a few stripes to fix on top
  7. Cook in a pre-heated oven for 25 mins at 175 degrees celcius
